The week leading up to our craft demonstration at the Michigan Science Center was a frantic storm of triple-bookings, previously extended deadlines and last-minute familial obligations. Naturally, we fueled ourselves with coffee and coffee alone. Our blood was beans by the time we set up our looms. The unprecedented mania that followed appears to be what triggered the first portal to appear, as our standard weaving abilities were drastically altered. As the portal opened our perceptions of the environment around us fluctuated wildly, vibrating with what appeared to be harmonic symmetry.
It took us three days to realize we were not in “Kansas” anymore, and five to recover from the caffeine withdrawals.
